So miffed when I went to collect my van from storage to find that it had been damaged. It looks like somebody has reversed into it..split the front panel and smashed a reflectors... thankfully insurance has covered the repairs. However, I find it sad that fellow caravan owners cannot be honest and at least leave an apology.... afterall accidents happen.

Someone overtook me whilst towing with a caravan also earlier this year causing me to swerve all over, i was doing 50 he must of been doing 80+,
15 miles down the road him and his van where in the ditch on its side with the driver stood on the hard shoulder.
The caravan Karma god does watch over us sometimes, maybe he was watching over you too and something bad will happen to the person who hit your van

AND !!!!! Did you stop to help and make sure there was no one hurt ?
I couldn't or wouldn't say a thing like that. What if there's an awful accident and "Karma" kills the person who wronged you along with their children !!!!

Yes its a pity whoever damaged your van had'nt the decency to let you know. However all this talk of 'killing' them and wishing revenge etc, is not what I expected from this forums members, I understand emotional reaction but lets keep it real folks.
------------- Life is our Holiday enjoy it before its time to go back!
It's sad that people are like this; happens on car parks all the time. A couple of years ago my wife and daughter saw a car scrape another on Twycross Zoo car park, and then move well away to another spot. Our daughter took the offending car number plate and left a note tucked into the wiper blade of the damaged car.
She later got a call from the police to fill in a witness statement, and the offending driver was eventually prosecuted for driving off and not reporting the incident.
Accidents happen, but a apology note ect would of been nice , sorry it happened .

Do you think i'm some kind of sicko or something,
I Didnt wish it on him to flip his caravan.
If you actually read what i wrote properly before making assumptions that I'M THE BAD PERSON,
SomeONE overtook me (ONE as in ONE person) then i saw the ONE person (driver) stood on the hard shoulder.
Chances are if he was stood on the hard shoulder that he was ok, Unless it was his ghost...
How dare you assume i wanted "Karma" to KILL somebody !!!

I would have stopped to make sure the cops knew about his driving and hopefully take him off the road for a while before HE kills someone

Hi, That could be potentially even more disastrous, with all the other cars slowing down to have a nosey, with the potential risk of fatality’s to people not involved in the initial incident. The speeding driver had a very lucky accident; he came off the road and into a ditch, (walked away from it,( presume) no fatalities no road obstruction or other vehicles involved), I hope if he ever gets another van, that he has learned a valuable lesson from his accident, and drives much more sensibly for his on safety sake and for the sake of all others.
Damage to van in storage, why not ask storage yard owner who are the van owners that have moved their vans around the time of the accident (if know) and see if any van is damaged around the same height as yours, you could ask them to check any CCTV tapes if they have them. Seems to be in this day and age it is “deny, deny liability until proven otherwise”, leaving a note would mean they knew of the bump. Glad you got it sorted.
