Our last trip each year is October, and the first February, and we've been caravaning in the snow. The kids and dog love it. We normally head south, so not problems with water freezing, even with the snowy conditions one year.
Generally our Feb holiday is in the new forest, and finding navigable dryish walks can be a challenge, best to stick to the footpath walks.
Cant think of anything nicer than finding cosy cafe right on the sea front somewhere and having a hot cup of tea while watching the sea.
Our kids are out doorsy, so we wrap up warm and walk in most weather conditions.
Recomendations, warm slippers, hip flasks, wicky coat for the dog, something to keep the kids happy when its tipping down, hip flask, good warming food, plenty of towels as nowhere to dry them, lots of waterproofs as nowhere to dry them, hip flask, wellies and walking boots. Always best to remember the hip flask aswell.
