Came across this light hearted comparison on the two clubs while on another forum over the debate over what the differences are. It made me smile so I thought I would copy and paste it here for you to enjoy!!
CC members know that they have joined a club where the older less smart outfits are not really welcome. They know that there are certain standards of behaviour which must be adhered to such as washing your outfit every day and changing for dinner. They own pedigree dogs with names like Julian or Tarquin and their dogs wear neckerchiefs. In the CC wardens allow members to select their own pitches and members know that they are entitled to the best pitch on site, often driving around and around to find it (the best pitch is one where your outfit is posher and newer than the beighbouring one)
C&CC members have joined the Friendly Club and they enjoy being more laid back, eating lentils, knitting rafia and experiencing everyone's kids trooping through your pitch. The wardens for some reason do not trust members to select their pitches and insist on telling you where to go. It's part of the ethos of the C&CC that you do not tell the wardens where to go (however tempting it may be). C&CC members care nothing for the norms of behaviour much loved by the CC and will happily wear flip flops and Tilley hats - on and off the site!. They are not interested in the notion of 'personal space' and love to cluster together in a field in the middle of nowhere doing something without toilets or EHUs called 'rallying'
Some people cannot decide which club to join and join both - poor souls. They can usually be identified by their clothing - flip flops with a shirt and tie; or by their outfits - BMW 5 series with 19" wheels pulling a trailer tent. They often get confused when on CC sites and try to engage others in conversation, of course to no avail. It is very sad to see their puzzled expressions when they are not allowed into sites which are operated on a rule basis and they can often be heard to whine "but it's only a few minutes, let me in" or "she's such a lovely little Doberman, how could you not love it, it only did a little poo". They feel uncomfortable and uncertain when face with hard standings and can't decide exactly where to place the car but they smile as if they are enjoying themselves
OMG, I so wish you hadn't posted that
I'm in the C&CC but I don't like flip flops. However, I do like hard standing - have I joined the right club This confusion means I'll have to have a little drink to settle my nerves and help me sleep tonight
does the CC have a crappy section? I bet they dont.
I can see it now, a convoy of proud crappies, rafia adorning there hair and shiny crocs on there feet turning up at a CC site, wondering round marvelling at the fully serviced pitches, hot water in the taps and a new invention called toilet roll in the loos. Ah but a dream to be allowed on. But alas CC rules wont allow a horse drawn Elddis on the sites, old dobbin creates to much s**t apparently.
I'm in the CC and I have an old crappie - 1991 Elddis Wisp - I've found everyone very friendly on CC sites. I dont have a pedigree dog just a JRT but he does wear a neckerchief, one with footballs on my grandson bought him, very smart.

I've often wondered if they take horse-drawn caravans, as their pennant still features a horseshoe!
And why refuse the animal's contribution to the site's Flower Fund?
We're in both and for CC sites I always starch the collars on my polo shirts but don't bother when on a C&CC site. The valet has the week off when we are on the C&CC site but of course the parlour maid comes along.

I've only used a CC site twice and both times I got some rather odd looks, not surprising to anyone who knew the Beautiful Yellow Transit, but other campers were friendly and the site wardens were pleasant
