Seems to be very good, .lots of caravans and some good offers. We were quite tempted! the new Bailey twin axle vans look lovely, but I have always been put off Bailey by the build quality horror stories; can anyone reassure me?
May not be of much help but we bought a brand new Bailey GT60 a few years ago but sold it a year later as our circumstances changed :(
But in the time we owned it we were more than happy with it. Bailey are the same as other brands regarding the quality of the finish. What we found great about Bailey is that if there is a problem with it your dealer fixes it or at least that is what we found. All manufacturers try to build as cheap as possible so the finish is not brilliant on any of them.

I don't think it matters what make you look at, someone somewhere will come up with a string of horror stories, which given that they are hand built , generally down to a price, is almost inevitable. I would suggest you go for what you want, but select your dealer with care and use one whose interest extends beyond just taking your cash but also have an interest in the product and have a reputation for good customer service.
As far as I'm concerned buying anything is simply down to personal choice & what you get from the dealer depends on how you treat them to a degree. We deal with a Bailey dealer just a couple of hundred yards up the road from here & they've always given us good service & we've been happy with the caravans we've had from them. I don't think we'lll be having another van for a while, if at all but we'd go back to them if we did simply because we can walk there. I think they're all the same when warranty work is involved. You'll probalby find they have to go back to the factory for approval to carry out the work in most cases.
I've changed a variety of things over the years including caravans, cars & lorries & I don't think todays build quality of anything can be compared with that of yesteryear. The cost of everythnig has gone up in leaps and bounds but after sales service of everything in my life doesn't reflect what we pay for it.
Manufacturers always seem to be seeking new ways of reducing build time & costs & I feel this is all done to increase their profits. IMO in many cases it certainly hasn't improved what they have to sell but that's down to the individual to decide.
I am now on my second Bailey Senator. They have proven to be much better than the six previous caravans that were, Avondale, Eccles and Abbey. The Bailey vans have had no serious problems and very few minor ones. All my previous vans ended up back at the factory for major repairs under warranty( new fronts, new rears, delamination of sides, complete replacement of floor )All caravans were bought from new.
This is simply my opinion after reading some of the stories on this and other forums they all seem to be the same.I have a bailey Ranger which had the faults with the cracks at the front and back which was deemed to be a design fault and it has cost me a small fortune to have it put right. But Bailey are no better or worse than any other caravan maker these days.Ian
When you look at the number of Bailey caravans around, you have to expect a few horror stories. I would estimate around 70% of the market is cornered by Bailey, so by that figure alone, if they are no worse than any other make, you would have to expect them to be involved in 70% of the horror stories.
However, having said that, having looked at many many caravans before buying our current one, the one thing that did really stand out was the poor finish on the Baileys. They seem to make no effort to cover screw heads and staples. It always made me wonder if they are cutting corners on things that are easily spotted, where else are they cutting corners. Therefore when we chose our current caravan, we set two criteria. 1. Must have a fixed bed, 2.Must not be a Bailey.
I would agree with you if I could have found a Bessacar when we were looking for a new van last year I would never have bought the Bailey, having said that I have always liked the look of Bailey vans.Ian
