I am a keen camper but want to take it to the next level. We are considering buying a caravan but have no where to put it, can anyone help us find a place in Surrey, ideally close to Chessington that would store a caravan for an annual fee?
I have been trawling the internet and google to find a suitable place but I am hoping someone out there may know somewhere that may not be advertised on the web.
I shall follow this with interest , as we also live in Chessington and have had no luck finding storage site within reasonable distance so have to store our van on drive
Storage sites are very lacking in Surrey, IMO. We've had to move to the Amberley Fields CC site next to Gatwick airport (might be too far for you).
We used to be at this place, which is a few miles south of Dorking (so might still be too far). It's very basic, with just a gated compound and no covered storage. We moved because of the access - you have to find the bloke who runs it to get in (they won't let you have a key). He lives in a van on site (it's a CC CL as well) but he also looks after the fishing lakes so is often wandering around and tricky to find.
There's another site near Burg Heath/Banstead which is just a farmyard with only slightly better security. Also has access problems in that there is a mile-long, potholed, single lane track you have to drive down to get there, which we didn't feel was doing the van any good. Let me know if you want the phone number for that (no website).
Finally, Chertsey and Alderstead Heath CC sites do storage as well but I'd imagine there's a waiting list at Chertsey because there's a huge one at AH
If you find anything else, I'd also be interested to hear of it, as I don't like paying the £550 for my current site...

Not sure why the address says Tadworth now? You get to it from the A217, good access for the M25, just a shame about the lane. Very important to go visit it before deciding....
Henfold Lakes was £350 2 years ago - Perrots farm was £425 or so when we left last July.

We live in Leatherhead and we viewed a caravan at Perrotts Farm, you'd never know it was there and the track leading to the farm was in a dreadful state ! Luckilly for us, we have a huge driveway to park our caravan on
We would like somehere to store our caravan when not in use, we are looking for somewhere in Surrey or Hampshire where it can be stored and transfered for us to a nearby site when we want to use it.
Our friends do this with there caravan, when they want to use it they phone in advance with the dates, and the caravan is brought out of storage and put on the nearby site for them, but this site is to far away for us to use.
