We have been lucky enough to get a seasonal pitch on our favourite site but still want to tow to the coast for the odd weeks away,and having to do the seasonal awning shuffle DOWN-UP-DOWN-UP twice every time we go will waste lots of time.
We are thinking of either a Sunncamp Mira Platinum 390, or a Kampa Rallye 390,both off which we have seen on other vans
Ours is a Compass Corona 505, (awning size 920}
Any feedback or suggestions much appreciated. Thanks Folks

Hi, Cant help with the type of awnings, could I suggest you get a small porch awning for the short trips, would be less hassle to erect and dismantle. don’t know if the Suncamp is a porch awning, as I an not interested in awnings, but others should be along shortly to help with your question.

It's always worth looking at a Kampa Fiesta - the best lightweight, IMHO. Sturdy steel poles - no of these bendy thin fibre ones that eventually crack and break. It's worth looking at one 'in the flesh' before you decide. In fact I'd say the same thing about any awning, TBH. Photos of mine are the top two of my gallery images.
We have the Kampa Rally and are very pleased with it, plenty of space, easy to erect, excellent quality, and very weather proof.
We bought the extra rear upright poles and the storm straps for ours, and it was money well spent, The buckles for connecting the storm straps are already on the frame when you unpack it, its just a case of clipping them on once on site.

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
