Foolishly I reversed the terminals when fitting a new leisure battery in my Geist 485. Now there is no 12v internal power and the on/off mains switch won't operate. I suspect there's a breaker or fuse somewhere, but there's nothing obvious that I can see.
Has anyone any ideas or had experience of similar problems with their outfits?
All suggestions/advice gratefully received.
Have you checked to see if there is a wiring diagram in your owners manual? it should show where there is a fuse for protection against that if it has one.

must be a trip switch unit and fuse box somewhere keep looking or just phone the dealer and ask Ropers at Catterick are always willing to answer my queries no matter how trivial I caught the leads with the battery unhooked and caused a short the fuse went and was soon rectified good luck with the search
Hello mate, i have a Geist, come across a problem similar to yours a while back.
your zig charger, where the mains goes into the transformer,(my models is under the fixed bed), there are a row of blade fuses, one of these will probably be blown, your mains trip switches are in the wardrobe i think?

I did a daft trick like that momentarly on my Conway Crusader, the only fuse I managed to blow was on the Truma water heater. No permanent damage done, hope you too are similarly lucky.
If you have a zig unit in your 'van then reversing the battery terminals means , in my experience, theres a good chance you've blown the unit- if the fuses are ok I suggest you have it checked out at your dealer .A new zig is about £130 plus fitting.
