Just wondered if any of you are going to brave the arctic freeze and are going out for February Half Term?
We're off to Ferry Meadows - our first outing with the dog, and our first outing of 2012. It would be great to meet anyone else from on here who happens to be on the same site. If not, do share where you are going!
hoping to go somewhere very soon waiting to see what the weather is going to be like, it will be the first time away with our newly acquired shih-tzu he's 2 years old and never been away in a caravan hoping our golden retreiver will show, him how to conduct himself

We must compare note when we get back. At least your new dog will have some help. Our dog just has us!
We will wait and see what the weather does that week. All being well we will head for either Edinburgh CC site or the Woods CC site at Alva, both less than an hour from home so an easy journey if snow threatens.
It's always hit and miss ... 2010 we still had snow lying, last year was fine ... so anything could happen.
It's only in the last two years we have had a full week off school at this time, next year we are back to just a long weekend but more time off at another point in the year.

I shall be camping in a tent from Thu 09 Feb to Sun 12 Feb inclusive, at Forest Holidays' Christchurch site in Gloucestershire.
I am only pay for one night, as the other two nights are my prize from UKCS for my tent review on the Hypercamp Escala 4.
Got some Sealskinz waterproof socks to prevent cold and soggy feet while wearing my Crocs.
Can't wait!

We are off and looking forward to it, havent been away since August. Just hope Pip the pup remembers the caravan rules
Ah! Yes. I remember - Chester. Enjoy Jusy - keep our pitch warm for end of August. Don't for get, if you spot a good pub that do meals..... I have a few on my list already though, now.
I had a look at the 'Camp Site Search' to see where 'Ferry Meadows' is as it would have been nice to have a cuppa and a chat but apparently it's a Caravan Club site which we aren't members of unfortunately. We are only members of the Camping & Caravanning Club which I think you are as well aren't you David? Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy your first trip out of 2012 and that the weather stays dry for you.
we're off on a rally situated on a site we were at for the New Year, just hope the weather is a little better but won't stop us going as we had a fab time

May 13 - Cala Gogo, St Cyprien (didn't go, hubby too ill to travel)
May 14 Ranc Davaine
August 14 Les Sablons
August 13 - Camping Playa Brava, Pals
We are off to Lickpenny site, near Matlock. Never been before, the reviews look good though. Hoping for better weather than the new year outing (rain, rain, and more rain!) - much prefer cold and blue skies or even snow.
Can't wait, it's the second outing in our new van, *very excited face*
Pam
Feb will be our third trip this year if you include over New Year. The weather forecast looks like it will be a bit chilly up at Conkers!!
The van has onboard water & full winterisation so unless the roads are impassable we will be there.

Hi Tango55. Yes we're members of both, but we generally use CC much more than C&CC. In fact our only C&CC site this year is Conkers, but we're there five nights so all in all, it's no more expensive to remain as members with the money we save on the site fee.
Yes, it's sounding as if it might be a bit chilly, but I'm sure we'll manage. I'm sure we'll meet one day Tango55 - even if it is just up at the storeage!!

I hope the weather won't stop folk from going away - I suspect it will be cold rather than snow. We'll run with that.
