Just after a bit of advice really, I am thinking about changing our existing Single Axle Caravan for a Twin Axle. Where we store our current caravan we have to turn the caravan 180 degress. There is some space at the storage site to do this in but not a great deal, the Single Axle caravan isnt a problem as we just spin in on the Axle using the motor mover and all is ok.
My questions are what sort of manoeuvrability can I expect with a Twin Axle Caravan with a Motor Mover I understand it is restricted as the second axle drags and wants to pull the caravan straight. The storage site is grasses and resonably level but not totally. Is it possible to rotate a Twin Axle 180 degrees in a sort of 3 point turn in a confined space or do they need a lot more room to turn around.
My last question is around Motor Movers for Twin Axles. On the existing caravan I have a Enduro Motor mover that has always performed well. This is only rated to 1400kg max so we cannot use it on a heavier Twin Axle. I believe the options are movers on 2 wheels or movers on all 4 wheels. I presume the 2 wheel mover for a Twin Axel has less of a turning circle than if all 4 wheels have motors each but then there is the added cost and weight.
Can you please advise on a good motor mover for a Twin Axle, what sort of turning circle it would give me to turn it 180 degress, am I better going for 4 Wheel driven motor mover, will it give me better control and a smaller turning circle.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
