Went to Excell on Saturday we were given free tickets. Trouble was we live in Staffordshire and logistically I thought it would be problematic. Looked on the website and found special offer with London midland trains return ticket was £15 and £7.70 for an underground day ticket. Arriving at excell on the DLR I was quite worried I saw a young girl sitting on the front seat and thought she was too young to drive a train, but turned out the train is fully automatic . Felt sorry for drivers queuing must have took them ages to get in. The layout of the venue was quite good 2 long halls. Not many people there though which i suppose saved on queuing. A lot of the stall owners were complaining that it was very quiet. Bought a cheap awning from Pyramid so overall had a good day out. However I would not go back there as it was just to hectic for me.

You should have made a weekend of it ... bring the van, find a site for a night or 2 and then drive in. Thats what I would do if I wanted to go to the NEC in October...
