hi all, thinking of going to flemings white bridge co kerry sometime in summer,any advice please on ferries, thinking of departing from pembroke or fishguard, however the price of the ferries seem very high,any surgestions on how to get the best price,many thanks in advance.

Are you a member of any of the two major clubs at all? They can sometimes get a reduction in the ferry price and they will also do all the booking for you as well saving you time as well as money.

We have done the swansea to Cork crossing but not with caravan. It was cheaper than some of the others I think.
I have myself been to Flemmings white bridge its a brill site and killarney is fantastic,but the best thing to do with the ferries is to compare all routes, and on the odd occasion it has been cheaper to book direct but check out the two club prices first.
The Clubs do have deals on ferry crossings to Ireland so worth trying them out.
I have also visited Flemings - was a few years back but thought was a great site and really friendly owners, think they also owned Glenross but prefered Flemings as so close to Killarney
Fishguard- Rosslare (Sealink) or Pembroke-Rosslare (Irish Ferries)are normally the cheaper routes. Fares depend very much on date, day and time of crossing You can do comparisons on line without committing yourself. There are also ferry booking sites if you do an internet search. Ferrybooker is one. Midweek crossing are obviously cheaper but the days vary between the two first , it is also cheaper to take a caravan on a day crossing rather than night. One big advantage of landing in Rosslare is that if you are going to Cork or Killarney it is straight out of the port and turn left at the the first roundabout, (more or less)much less hassle than the Dublin ports.
We go every couple of years. Killarney is lovely but full up, prefer Galway or West Cork, enjoy!
