Morning! We are in the process of selling our caravan & trying to get ideas as to which one to go for next. Can you help us decide please? We need a 6 berth with a fixed double bed around about 2-4yrs old. We've looked at the bailey ranger & the elddis avante but I'm finding bad reviews about them. What's your opinion & what van would you recommend? Our budget is £11,000. Thanks.
We have a Buccaneer which is made by Elddis, it ticks all our boxes, and any problems were sorted out under warranty, when we replace the Buccaneer it will be by another Elddis product

Our tourer days are over and we have moved on to a Hobby Motorhome
When we have bought our last three vans (all new Baileys) we have looked at all makes & the main thing that has put us off Elddis vans has been the small lockers with no space to store cereal boxs or wine bottles (on site of course, I don't travel with wine bottles in overhead lockers before anyone shoots me down!!).
We have had our 6 berth Bailey Ranger (not a fixed double bed) since 2003 and it has been utterly reliable, and a delight. I would have no hesitation based on our experience in recommending Bailey. I don't have experience of Elddis so can't offer you a comparison.
we got the Bailey Ranger 620/6 new in 2008, was a fantastic van for us as a family of 5, the only thing we had a problem with was the side table on the side dinette came away from the wall too easily, other than that we had no problems in the 6 months we owned it before selling it to get a static van. We've now gone back to vanning (static too much like being at home) and have gone for a 2 berth Elddis which is 16 years old and other than the lack of care from the previous owners it's in pretty good nick so I could imagine when new it was a very nice van. If I was you I would have a really good wonder round some dealers and view what's available in your budget

We bought an elddis crusader supersirocco brand new 6 months ago. Fixed bed. Double shower & all the other good stuff, quality caravan, were well pleased with it. Each to there own.
Hi thanks for the replies! It would be a twin axle we're after. We looked at a 2009 elddis avante the other day & hubby said there was something not quite right about the outside panel. He said it looked a bit rippled when you looked down the van from the front. I've yet to view a bailey but they do have 1 about 40 mins away from us. It's a bailey ranger 620. Has anyone got any other ideas as to what vans we could look at?
Like Leebo I have an Elddis (Super Sirrocco ) Twin axle which we bought new last summer. It is our second Super Sirocco, love the van and the quality. I did own a Bailey Pageant Provence single axle which I had for three years and enjoyed no problems with that either.
It is down to personal choice at the end of the day, I was all set to buy a new Bailey Senator before we bought our first Elddis Super Sirocco, but when I walked into the Elddis the difference in the furnishings and woodwork swayed me to the Elddis. To be fair though the Elddis was more expensive.

Swift do a Sprite Quattro FB van with the same layout.
Ahh yes we've seen these online. Are they good vans? The most important thing to me is the structure. I'm so paranoid about damp! They seem cheaper than the others & I worry there's a compromise somewhere?
We have a Ranger (not a twin axle) it's a 2007 550/6 and we love it, we have ours sited in Wales for this season. So far it has been a lovely, reliable easily towable van. Spares are easy to come by if needed too. Brillant value for money compared to other makes.
