As a result of increases in both raw material and component costs Bailey have been forced to review their existing pricing structure. As a result of this review there will be an increase of an average of 1.5% on the recommended retail prices of all touring caravan models with immediate effect.

This increase has already been factored into the cost of the new Bailey Retreats plus the new Orion 450-6 and Orion 530-6 models so their recommended retail price will remain unchanged until further notice.

They have also reviewed the overall sales package and will be implementing the following changes with immediate effect:-

   1. Retailer Delivery Charge - this will increase from £545 to £565 for all touring caravans
   2. Warranty Package - the period of the free 4-year extension to the standard 6-year bodyshell integrity guarantee has ended. This will now become a cost option available at an RRP of £189 (incl IPT) in the first year of ownership and with an RRP of £229 (incl IPT) thereafter.
   3. Vehicle service schedule - The fixed price servicing plan will end and the charges applicable in future will be as per the standard Retailer price tariff for all servicing costs.
   4. Vehicle service schedule - Following a survey of the Alu-Tech caravans in use thus far there will no longer be the requirement to carry out the additional bodyshell bolt check on year three of ownership - thus reducing the overall cost of servicing.

These changes will be applicable on all touring caravans manufactured from Monday 20th February onwards with the exception of those units that have already been retailed which will retain the existing warranty and servicing package.

There are limited stocks of pre-price increase touring caravan models available on Retailer Sites and anybody interested in purchasing one of these units should contact their local agent as soon as possible.

There is an existing discussion on the reduction of the free warranty period from 10 to 6 years here
Please note the 10 year warranty is still available, but it's now a cost option.
