We bought a brand new Kampa Carnival 1000cm awning & extension off ebay last summer and we absolutely love it, however it came with the steel frame which is impossibly heavy. We would like to buy the aluminium frame (as long as it doesn't cost the earth) but can't seem to find anywhere that sells just the frame?

Any ideas?

I would think it very difficult trying to find just a lightweight frame unless you buy direct from the manufacturer but this would be costly like you said. It may be worth considering inserting a wanted ad. for free in the 'Free Adverts' section on here as it may be possible that someone may have what you are looking for. You may not be successful but at least It's worth a try and youv'e nothing to lose.

I have a Ventura awning with steel poles and recently asked if it was possibble to buy a light weight frame, I think they call it a IXL frame and was told I could get one for £260

N R awnings do a range of steel, aluminium and fibre glass frames if you know the size you require have a look on their web site.

Be careful because different poles for different makes check out the front roof section where the eyelets are and compare awnings.Rob
