We're on our second Dorema Awning Harry, we've had two Senator Lux both with the Fibre glass frames. I kick myself for selling (giving away) our first one when we decided to give up caravanning & changed our mind even before using the tent we'd bought to take up camping with.

I have had two Dorema Awnings and both times I have paid the extra for fibreglass poles. Well worth the money. Both were excellent awnings.

Had Montana full awning which I could erect on my own (if not windy!) Sold that one with the caravan.

We now have a Dorema Laser porch awning which is great.

I have a Daytona which I bought on October 1st last year and was up on my van until the end of the month on a seasonal pitch.  We have been very happy with it.

We have steel poles because the awning will be up from March to October but I would imagine the fibreglass might suit you better.

I have a Dorema awning, came with the caravan so not sure what model it is. (see galley photo) I'm very pleased with it.  It has 22mm steel poles and I put it up on my own with no problems but I have changed the skew tighteners to the Easygrip clamp fittings which make it a lot easier to adjust and tighten. I beleive the new awnings come with these as standard on the steel poles, not suitable for the fibreglass ones.

We had a brand new Dorema Montana size 10 direct from their factory clearance last year for just over £400 which included free delivery, the tie down kit and 3 locking pads. We are pleased with quality and their customer services were really helpful. You can see the green awning in my profile.

Ditto.

Purchased a new Dorema Montana in the factory clearance 2010.

Cost circa £450 with fibre poles and 3 locking pads.

An excellent awning that I can erect myself quite easily on our Lunar Stellar of 2010 vintage.

Definately recommend buying direct, The cost included postage, ordered on a Monday afternoon and it arrived the following day!
