In the move from tt to caravan, we are holding out against getting a tv. Just personal preference really. So we take games we can play as a family. Our children are 8 and 4. Our favourites include Uno (the extreme one) and a travel monopoly set dh picked up in a sale. Have you got any favourites or recommendations?
I regret getting a tv - if we're on hook-up its too easy to flop out and just switch it on and my daughter tends to watch it as soon as she gets up.
When we had the folding camper we sat outside more and played catch or just watched our daughter riding her bike or go for walks. We'd play cards, dominoes. snakes & ladders, guess who, ludo etc.
My best camps are field meets with the C&CC where we make the effort to talk to more people and our daughter is out with other kids having fun.
We have a portable dvd player for a film before bed if we need it.
We got yahtzee, boggle and travel scrabble which are great when the kids have gone to bed as they are quieter.
We always take plenty of books too, nothing nicer than sitting outside having a nice read with a cup of coffee or glass of ale. or if it chills down sitting inside.
My boys have a locker with games in - Guess Who? Guess Where? Uno, playing cards, Jenga, junior Monopoly, colouring books and they often take their DS consoles too.
Can't beat a good old game of cards, we love connect four and scrabble, we do watch the tv but usually when we've snuggled up in bed might put a DVD on, or I'll read.

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
When it was 4 adults last year dominoes was a definate played for money,When it was 6 adults we palyed uno, sitting in the awning with drinks was fun, much better than going to a bar,
When it was with 4 grandchildren we did jigsaws and they had ds games. egg race with boiled eggs used on salad after the game one afternoon.
I got us a new game called Banagram, a very good version of Scrabble. We've started doing rallies so the temptation to have the tv on is not there as we have no hookup. So we have plenty of travel games such as cards, dominoes, scrabble, upwards, cluedo, monoply, all the usual suspects.

May 13 - Cala Gogo, St Cyprien (didn't go, hubby too ill to travel)
May 14 Ranc Davaine
August 14 Les Sablons
August 13 - Camping Playa Brava, Pals
We have Uno, Bananagrams, Yahtzee, ordinary cards and brainbox plus a few others (Im a bit of a boardgame hoarder). We probably play Yahtzee and Uno the most as we play those inside and outside of the caravan. Uno and Brainbox are good when we go abroad and might go and sit and watch some early evening entertainment with a drink and play a family game at the same time.
We've had some great nights playing Trivial Pursuit with our friends and our kids (now 15). Dominoes is still a great favourite and younger kids love that. We used to play snakes and ladders too when they were younger! Happy days!
We also had a game with two little pigs in that you through down like dice and however they landed determined your points won. There was a card to compare the positions to and points awarded. The game finished with whoever had the most points..................Eventually!!! Can I remember what it was called?????
