Hi I'm after a a twin axle 6 berth caravan with a fixed bed. All I seem to be finding is vans that are 7ft 2 or 4" wide. I'm after one that is 7ft 6 because it needs to be wide enough to fit my travel cot in between the the front day beds. I've bought the smallest cot I can find & this fits snugly between the day beds in my 7ft 6 van. Im worried that if I buy a narrow van it's not going to fit. Can anyone think of a wider van please? Or do you have a van that is say 7ft 4 wide & can fit your travel cot in between those beds? If so what have you got? My caravan is being sold Monday & I'm itching to get out there & look for another one. I want something preferably newer than a 2007 model but not newer than a 2010.

Some of the Coachman range used to be 7ft 6ins wide, I know our Genuis was.
The Hobby range also do wider models.
Failing that, why not make a bed up on the floor for your little one using the two dinette/bench sides to enclose him/her, and then just get an infill piece made to go across the front.
Otherwise, its is possible to get special compact camp cots that are made to fit in the gap, we bought ours from JR Leisure a few years ago, made of tubular steel with childrens print fabric sides, it folds rather like a deck chair, 22ins wide, 42ins long, 30ins deep with a shallow foam mattress when open, very lightweight, it cost about £25 at the time, and has seen us through all our 9 grandchildrens needs, and is still going strong.

Thanks for that, just had a look but unfortunately it's a single axle. Hubby wants a twin axle.

I see you are in South Glos so it may be worth popping down to Highbridge this weekend for their Easter show. You could have a look and measure up several vans to find the layout and size you are looking for.
Babybjorn is the maker of our cot, but im shocked how much the price has increased since we bought ours several years ago, they have toned down the material design to be more modern, but the system is still the same and it still only weighs about 10lb.
