We are buying a Ace Jubilee Prestige (2008) registered 2009.
Online Swift Brochure for a 2008 prestige saying 1058cm awning A measurement. "2007 model (which is same length, says 1048cm.)
However,I've had three seperate awning dealers say that awning "book" measurement is 1048cm for Prestige 2008 model...surely 3 seperate dealers can't be wrong??
I don't want to order wrong awning. The awning we will be ordering is this one, size 17???? as it fits 1031 to 1060cm...sounds as if it will fit either way!???
Any ideas??? Don't want a flappy awning :)

The good thing id thst if you buy a 1050cm awning it will fit either A measurement. ------------- Bill
For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

The plot thickens!!!! I phoned Swift again....as 2008 owners brochure says 1058 yet the 2008 technical handbook says 1048...one Swift person this morning said 1058...another said 1058. lol (they were al delightful)
This afternoon I spoke to a truly wonderful woman at Swift and it is definitely a 1050...as it seems there are different sub-models (she didn't put it that way but there are two different technical handouts for differing parts of 2008...my head hurts!)
Mine is a T4B...ooooh! So it is apparently a 1058.
The German Awning fits size range 1031 to 1060, so should be ok. I was worried because on dealer said always go for a smaller awning or they are flappy.Post last edited on 21/03/2012 17:53:50------------- Jackie and John

Hi Murdo, had similar issues myself a while back. Best to measure the van, rather than rely on what the manufacturer or suppliers say.
Our van turned out not to tie up with any measurements we received from any party.

It's over 3.5hours away at the moment :) I think we need to measure direct though. I hadn't realised vans could have same name but different measurements within one annual edition------------- Jackie and John

I would go for the next size up as if you pitch
and have level up the door side wheel there
is a good chance your awning won't reach the floor.
this is the problem I have with my nr awning on my
550 , 990 size on a measurement of 987 really wish I
gone for the next size up.
