Not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes.
I am new to caravanning and am a paper crafter. I was thinking about making up a box of goodies to take with me.
Are there any like minded crafters out there in camperland and if so what do you take to while away an hour or two.
Don't laugh, but i always take whatever knitting project i'm doing at the time! I find knitting very relaxing. I love sewing too but so far i've left that at home! I Last May when we were in Norfolk, i was sat in the awning, knitting, when i heard a young child say to her mum "look that lady is knitting"! It made me smile and i thoaught at least she didn't say "what's that lady doing"!
So, yes, definitely take your craft box with you and enjoy!
I restore vintage toys and dolls, I often take a re root I'm doing with me or a bit of re stringing, they don't seem like work when I'm away :)

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
I know quite a few people who take their card making stuff, I also take bits that I am making for my dolls houses as it's lovely working out in the open air and it always gets someone coming up and ask me what I'm doing

Having quite a few friends in the boating fraternity, I have been known to take my sewing machine and kit away with me, and pitch next to (or as close as possible) a moored boat. Then I measure it up for new curtains, and sometimes some loose seat covers, and after the owner has provided the materials, I sit and sew a new set.
The reward afterwards is often a nice days cruise out on the Broads and rivers, sometimes with a tasty pub Lunch and a bottle of wine, but the best reward is the friendship and satisfaction gained by helping someone maintain their pride and joy out on the waterways for many years to come, some boats already having passed their 50th year, and a few as old as 60!

I think i may just take a small printer, glue and my lappy with Scrapbook Artist on and see how i go. I must be disaplined and try not to turn my caravan into a craft room..lol
Sitting outside crafting sounds wonderful and Romany Girl, what a wonderful way to share your craft.
Knitting, embroidery (easy stuff) and a jigsaw, one that is inside a big zipped up thing so it is safe. It is a mosaic of a lion's head in the middle, but alround it at about 900 pieces of mosaics inside mosaics. I have never had one so difficult and it has so far taken over two years to even do a little bit. You have to get one bit and try to fit it in everywhere. Then if it fits go onto the next one. There must be at least nearly 200 + mosaics inside mosaics.I can only take a little at a time, that's why I take it away to saee if I can do at least a few bits to it.
