I put my bowl in the sink
I reckon that, for the time it takes to do the washing up, a dishwasher is a waste of money in a caravan. Also, you'll use extra fuel lugging the extra weight about.
Don't get me wrong I'm all for mod cons, but a dishwasher no ill pass, what I enjoy doing in my caravan is a break from the normal, I like cooking outside, I don't mind washing up, besides there's only us two now, so we don't get that much dirty crockery anyway.
Could be good do a large family I guess.

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
Its the one piece of kit we have at home that I do miss at the caravan....i know it's lazy but I find it keeps the kitchen tidy at home (everything goes into the dishwasher as it's used) and when working in a confined space like a caravan, it would be even more helpful. However, extra weight, lost storage space.....not really worth it in the long run.
When we win the lottery and can afford a big, new, twin axle (and the Range Rover to pull it) I'll have one fitted!
We have had a dishwasher in our van for ages, its called ME. It is semi automatic, sometime does not work because of the lack of lubrication or we have bought the wrong size 'Marigolds'

We have a 14 year old dishwasher whom sometimes complains, however a newer younger model is being trained at the moment for the coming season after, the younger model had already been trained in the art of peg placing and being a pole brace. The older model will be retired, and may go onto water/loo duties.
Meanwhile the wife and i will continue to enjoy the holiday. The kids do too, its all part of being away in the van.
Enjoy everyone, have a good season.
