Motor Mart (Clarkes) do a 14.4v or a selection of more powerful ones tho the Clarkes is quite adequate and reasonably priced.
also have an old Woolworths 12v in the front locker, I burnt out the charger so cut off the base, attached a long cable with a ciggie lighter plug on the end and plug it into the car, works just fine...............Mick

I have to say that I tend to buy the cheapest one I can find as I find the batteries don't survive very long because I forget to keep the battery charged when the drill is out of use.

Any drill 14.4v and above will do the job. If they are particularly stiff or under load a short hand crank to start will sort it.------------- Steve

Exactly what I did, I used an old 8 inch 3/8 drive socket extension bar and a 19mm socket bonded together with araldite does the job perfect.

A dealer told me that a frequent repair they have nowadays is threads stripped or damaged on the corner steadies by use of the drills as they torque up further then doing it manually. They now check all trade ins as it is an expensive replacement !.
I still do it manually !

Just use the clutch on the drill to stop at a certain torque, if you think its so tight drop the clutch down a notch.------------- Dave + Maria
