I used to have two lengths of awning rail protector strip, the stuff you can leave in the awning channel which helps protect the rail and deflect water etc. No idea how, but it's got lost somewhere and I'm looking to replace, but I can only find this bright yellow stuff sold in fixed 12m length packs.
The stuff I used to have was beige and I bought it per metre, but I can't find this anywhere. I'm not struck on this bright yellow strip (obviously designed to be reflective etc) plus as I need just over 9m a side, (and not wishing to sound tight), I'm not impressed with having to buy two 12m packs and cut down to size, wasting 5-6m.
Anyone know of a supplier at all, sold by the metre length?

Look on E-bay Awning beading.
Been there, done that thanks. Only stuff is either the 12m lengths of yellow again, or actual awning beading which is the rubber strip which compression fits into the rail to conceal mounting screws etc.
I bought a load of awning beading from my local caravan dealer shop for £1 per metre. So I bought as much as I needed. It was the grey stuff so no fancy colours. I am sure that other places will do the same. It really has made a difference re deflecting rain water etc. (I got it from Robinsons at Chesterfield by the way.)

Thanks guys, sorted.
Nothing usually eludes me on a search, but why I couldn't find this stuff I don't know.
Clever's response was suprising though; I'd already rang that particular store in your link (not a million miles from me) and the person I spoke to reckoned they didn't stock it! They must have got the wrong end of the stick perhaps, but there's only so many ways you can describe this beading...
And Jeff, check the colour on your monitor, that stuff on Amazon is the yellow strip I found in 12m lengths...
