I am looking for Insurance for my new caravan ... 2006 Bailey Senator Indiana ... in storage
Well, I am not a member of any clubs ... yet!
As I can't decide which one to join ... Caravan Club or Camping and Caravanning club ... my choice will depend on the club that can offer the best insurance.

We use caravan guard caravan guard
Good cover cheaper than the clubs and discount for ukcs members.
Hi
I used Caravan Guard for 3 years on our brand new Sterling, they matched others quotes, and were good at renewal time.
Until we made a claim.
It was the first claim we have ever made, either household, car or other.
They were awful to deal with, and we ended up losing about £500 on a claim for storm damage, that totalled £2000.
In the end we realised we had hit the brick wall of the worst customer service possible, we dealt with the repairer direct, and were so fed up of the situation paid up, and sold the caravan as soon as it was finished.
Steer clear...........

We are currently with the CC but did find that the C&CC will taylor the cover more to what you want (i.e european cover, etc) which can bring the price down if you don't need lots of extras. The main benefit to us of the CC is they do not state where we have to store the van. This means we can keep it any storage site we like and also at home before / after holidays. They only state the security devices you have agreed to and as long as these are fitted you are covered.
Ours is up for renewal shortly, I've always been with Caravan guard but reading the above reply I might think again this year. I'm in the C&CC & did try to get a quote on there this afternon but as I've used it before & have a username & password which I can't remember I didn't get very far :-( I don't want to jump from the frying pan & end up in the fire.
we were with caravan guard but as they wanted us to fit a tracker with the new van we moved to k drewe not claimed with any and hopefully we wont in the future lol
