right all you caravanner's which do you think is the best caravan to buy and why is it for the size, the sleeping area, the shower, or the general idea of being home let us know from someone who's thinking of giving up camping because of over half's hips (due to him having two new ones ) and not being able to bend that much to put ring and pins in the ground etc.. from Fran and Steve
Hi Chief, that question is perhaps a little to broad.. I think you might need to specify your needs a little more. i.e
How many of you are there?
Fixed bed?
End washroom..?
Side Dinette..?
There are so many layouts.. take a look here:
http://www.caravanfinder.co.uk/caravan_layouts.html
Well that's a question only you can answer really, as stated above what layout do you want what price have you in mind, we can all say this van that van ect, most of us who have a particular make of van will say theirs is the best make.
I've had swift lunar and baily, which one did I like? All of them, all had their merits, and bad bits.
The choice as they say is yours.

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
Hi chief2, best advice I can give you is look at as many vans as you can, to find a layout that would suite your needs and mobility, think where you are going to store it and if you have enough room if stored at home, if stored in a storage yard (anywhere between £200- £800 per year depending on grade of storage yard) would you be able to handle a van or would you need a mover, is your car able to tow the van you are thinking of getting, the guide lines for the towing weight of a caravan, (your caravan should be no heavier than 85% of the kerbside weight of the tow car), this could determine the size of van you can tow unless you change your car, so first thing to do is determine the kerbside weight of your car, and its maximum towing weight, then look for vans that have a maximum loaded weight of 15% or more under your cars maximum kerbside weight,(85% rule). I hope I have made all this understandable, good luck with your search, others will be along shortly with more useful information.

If in Doubt Check it Out.
Start with car . What can you tow. So that's the wieght . Then what size would you like.
Now look at models that fit the above. And what you like an can afford .
See if you can look on here or practical caravan gives list of caravan makes ,models ,sizes and details.
