Is their any one out there, that has bought one of these,we have looked at loads of vans this last couple of weeks,we have narrowed it down to the swift 636 and this elddis,we like the configuration of the both,my partner especially likes the sunroof idea in the swift, the alde heating is not an issue for us we aren't bothered either way,we like the light an airyness of the elddis, are there any really good deals out there at the momment,we have got it down to £21,500 inc starter pack, should I snap it up if i went for the ELDDIS
Nice van but you need a pretty big 4x4 to tow it ideally with a kerbweight of at least 2100kg as the Tempest twin axle has a MPTLM of 1830kg .
The Swift Challenger 636 being considerably lighter at 1650kg would be easier to tow and perhaps less fuel.
Many thanks for that, much appreciated,we currently have a nissan pathfinder,so don't think towing will be an issue, just buying the van,all advice WELLCOME,however big or small.
Just had to google it, as I'm not really up on new vans mine are just somewhere to sleep, but they both look nice, I like the styling of the swift, but the elddis looks really nice.

Thanks for that, yes they do look nice,as I say my other half likes the idea of the swift with the " sunroof " I just like the look of the elddis, appeares light and airy, never having bought a van before,it's knowing what to do for the best and buy of course.
I don't know how true this is, so don't hold me to my word, but when I was at the dealers last week, I was speaking to the dealer and said I liked the swifts with the panoramic roof, he said don't buy one, I said why, he said they leak!! Now as I said don't take my word for it, it's just what I was told.
I think the elddis looks roomier.

Have a look on Swift Talk some early ones of the new shape have damp problems by the wheel and the design was changed for this year so just check when it was built. The 2012 swift,s do seem pretty much sorted now
I've got the 2011 Crusader Tempest, absolutely love it,fantastic layout with no ntable problems. I know someone who works for the firm that transports all the swift vans from the factory and he's said they've been really busy due to returning a lot to the factory due to the sunroofs leaking. In their defence this was last summer and the problems may now be sorted but personally wouldn't take the chance. There's no build quality issues with the Elddis that i'm aware of at all.
No,mine was the last before the Alde was fitted. I've yet to see anyone with it although online reviews look good. I use mine predominantly off hook up so didn't want the Alde pump using up my 12 volts.
We have the Alde wet heating in our new Lunar. It's excellent

Many thanks to one and all that helped me in what I felt was a dilemma,we have finally made a decision and have bought an ELDDIS CRUSADER TEMPEST,fingers crossed. Happy days, here's to caravanning.
