Hi i have a Pennine Fiesta Folding Camper just like to know what small car is good at towing a Pennine Fiesta Folding Camper i just want to down size my car due to kids are grow up and do their own things now, many thanks
You need to check the weights. We had one a few years ago and the max weight of the Pennine was 750kgs. If that's the case a wide range of cars will be fine. Thinking back to ours I don't think we would have wanted to tow it with anything smaller than a Golf / Focus sized car whatever the kerb weight / power issues.
Clearly you want a car with a kerb weight of 900 kgs which will tow at least 750kgs
I towed one with a Renault scenic 1800cc petrol it was fine but it was very sluggish on steep hills otherwise it was fine, I now tow a pennine pullman with the same car but looking to maybe change the car at some point as I do not think its powerful enough on the hills also the towbar weight is only 65kg and kerbweight is only 1280kg
We have a VW 1.4 Polo. We towed the Fiesta that we had before and now the Countryman with the greatest of ease.We have no problems going uphill just have to use your gears properly like with any other car.Hope this helps.Cheers.Alex
