That's a very interesting article Michael, and something that the UK recovery companies need to get sorted out.
The RAC says that it will recover caravans over 2.3 metres wide, but at a cost to the member !
Are they just using this as a way to get more money for recovery ?

That's a really good post michael but you would think that before any caravan manufacturers and their design teams implemented the new widths and entered them into production that there should have been other issues to resolve first and this probably has to be the most important of all. They think that the new widths are a step forward in the caravan market but when you read articles like this then surely it has to be considered a step backwards. Let's hope that the road rescue organisations can adapt their policies quickly otherwise a few caravanners could be left stranded in an emergency.
