I love seeing them in American films with some old mad
old bloke living in it out in the desert somewhere. I'm
wondering if Airstreams are quite the same once they cross
the pond. Some things look better left where they belong
perhaps?

I have to say the airstream near us, doesn't have quite the same charm sitting on a drive in a residential cul de sac lol.

I think the Airstream has to aerodynamics of a house brick.  Compared to most UK caravans it is ugly; perhaps interesting in the same way that a classic car is, but still ugly.

Sorry they are not my thing, and the weight well you would need a tank to tow them.

The car world seems to be lighter more economical etc.

So I cant see the market for it but I might be wrong.

These people inport Airstreams, do them up and then site them on a site in Dorset. My daughter and her friends stayed in one for her 30th birthday. They all dressed up in 50's outfits around the site and even went to bournmouth dressed like it.

The company seem to do quite well.
By the way I am not anything to do with it though my signature looks like I am.

That member has not posted in over a year.
