Just managed to get a late spot at this site for our touring caravan and as its a new one to me i thought i would seek advice as to the best route.
Traveling on the A66 in to Darlington it looks like i have two options A66/A1M/A66 then B627 which is mainly dual carriageway or A66/A67 into Barnard Castle which looks slightly less in distance.
As i have never used the A67 before would appreciate advice as to which route would be most suitable.

Thanks in advance

Jim

We always go via A66 then B6277, the B road is a little twisty and mostly downhill so just take it steady and you'll be ok, when you reach the traffic lights go straight over and the site's about 1/2 mile up the hill on the left. Really nice site, toilets immaculate, bit of road noise but didn't hear a thing during the night. Enjoy

C&CC website does say NOT to go through Barney - the B6277 is definitely the safest way. Smashing site - I'll be there by about 1.00pm on Saturday
