Hi first time writing here, but would like some help.will be travelling over night from newcastle to Hastings.Has anyone done this trip before and where did you stop for breaks.

grantham  then dartford    I've done eastbourne from the NE    you are more or less motorway / dual carriageway all the way      350 miles so it it is along hop    average 60 = 6 hours plus stops     50 = 7 hours plus stops     your choice

If your going down the A1, then the Stibbington Diner next to the Nene Valley Railway near Peterborough, is a 24 hour truck stop with showers, and one, that as an HGV driver I do use.

At a guess, from Newcastle, your about half way there.
