Hello everyone,
I have a little annoying problem with my caravan door lock. When we shut the door ( I would call it slamming, but the wife say's different),sometimes the door locks itself.(the inside handle lifts up slightly). You can open it with the key, if its not left inside!! or with any other key for that matter. Van does not lock completely, just enough to make at annoying. Is there anything I can do with the lock or is it just something I have to live with?

We had the same problem and hubby once had to 'hook' our keys from inside the caravan with his fishing rod! Fortunately, the kitchen window was open and his fishing rod was under the caravan!
When the caravan went in for service we mentioned this to the dealer and the fact that the handle inside that locks the 'van was loose. We presume they tighted it as we no longer have this problem.
Does the handle wobble and feel loose on yours? Maybe its the same problem as we had.
Hi Lassie, the handle doesn't feel loose to me? but I have tried tightening the inside screws (four screws visible near to the handle) and slacking them off to see if it makes any difference! I will just have to make sure I keep the keys with me at all times. Never had this with my trusty old Lunar!!
Its not a big job to change the lock quite easy realy and you can buy a new complete lock from your local caravan dealer for about £24 so not too bad.Ian
