just seen the pics of the flooded sites and they are horrendous. Hope everyone is safe. We came home from the Isle of Wight three days early after seeing the forecast and are glad we did.

We came back early because I was unwell but will admit that the weather was horrible and I'm glad to be out of it. I haven't caught up on the news, I hope everyone in the Wales floods are safe.
According to the news it was around 2am and then 4 am that the alerts occurred so scary that people were sleeping with no knowledge of what was happening.
Seen the pictures on the news and it looks horrendous and as above hope everyone is safe.
Saw the news this morning, the camp site in wales is flooded so many vans and awnings looked ruined, hope they were insured,We came back from Wales on Monday thankfully missing the awfull rain.
Looks absolutely terrible! We are in Derbyshire and after a lovely week in Cornwall last week have had dreadful weather this week - just missing a touch of snow to make a full compliment of the worst weather. My brothers family are in our old cabanon without hook up opposite - tent has held up really well and we have provided warmth in our van but it hasn't been the finest introduction to camping for them!
It's a terrible thing to see. Hopefully all those affected have made it out safely. It sounds cliche, but units can be replaced, and fingers crossed the vast majority will be insured.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
