Would anybody know of any picnic areas to stop on the A11 while towing a caravan, know of a Service Area, but would like to pull into a picnic area, as we have a dog as well.

Most of the picnic areas I can think of near the A11 have hight barriers and you wouldn't get a caravan under them. If you check the route on Google Earth you can often spot large layby's in areas where you could walk the dog (thinking of Thetford forest area).

elvendon just past mildenhall has a large layby normaly with a burger type van in it, can't miss it has a tall war mormorial plent of walks for dogs away from the road

If you are coming up the A11 from Newmarket at the Mildenhall Roundabout you can go 200 yards on the A1065 Brandon road and there is a large layby on your righthand side with toilets and a cafe
