Can anyone advise please. I have a problem with the gas hob front burner. when the knob is pushed in and turned to allow the gas to flow and ignite the burner lights ok but after holding the knob in and releasing the burner goes out. All other gas burners work fine.

Check the thermocouple is sitting in the flame when lit. If it is,it could be a faulty one..

sounds like the flame safe is faulty.

thermocouple, I repair domestic stuff, just the same, depending on the hob they sometimes can be tricky to remove ie involving removing the hob to get access
