I have an Elddis Genesis 3 caravan and want to buy the above awning but the height from the rail to ground is 230 cms and the awnings start at 235 - 250cms. will it fit and can anybody advise me of any suitable awnings that would be suitable. I have never used an awning before and need all the help I can get.
We have a Kampa Rally 260 and our van is supposedly a bit short. Never had any problems and even when the pitch sloped towards the van it was just slightly 'baggy'.
The kampa Rally has adjustable front legs and, if you go for them as an option, so does the rear up right poles. We have this awning and it looks fairly adjustable for different height vans. You could ask your dealer if you could drop by with the van to try it if you want to be 100% sure?
We have found it an easy awning to put up. Had a few leaks when we first used it but the ones on the seems have stopped after some heavy rain (apparantly we aren't the first to experience this) and we cured the other one with a quick spray with a silcon waterproof spray (easier that exchanging it)
Thanks to all who replied, it helped me make up my mind. It makes it easier when other people have experienced equipment and problems that you are going through.
