Could get in touch with the actual caravan site explain what happened and they may of heard of him or he may be a regular. That way you will know you have been able to say thanks. That was very good of him to do it for you. There are a lot of people who help as we have had it and it is always good to say thanks as a lot do not bother to when helped. Caravan club may be able to help.
