Hi, can anyone help please. we have put our new suncamp porch awning up twice now but wonder if anyone had had the same trouble.the split poles with the metal ring at push in end seem so stiff. You would maybe know what I mean if you have one! we split the pole last time and instead of collapsing in two it is well and truly stuck. arggh. off on weds, so another argument ensues while I am labourer to my hubs frayed patience!

oh dear seems I didnt explain myself properly??? if anyone still has time to waste maybe someone out there will be on my wave length?? I am talking about the bendy pole with a string going through that folds in half. when we try to put it in awning we have to struggle to put metal pin through the metal ring at bottom??? maybe its a "had to be there" question??? sorry for repeating my ramblings!

Hi,
I think I know what you mean. We have a couple of sun camp awnings. If I'm right are you talking about the metal pin that you have to place inside the pole to give the pole it's shape. If so, the metal pin on ours is on a piece of fabric with a buckle so that you can extend it which gives you a bit more 'play' with the pin. Hope that helps. We had to have it pointed out to us the first time we put up our sunncamp porch awning.
Good luck
Alison
