Disinfectant is not really strong enough. Try hot water as hot as you can put your hand in but no hotter and some bleach. If you can plug the outlet so it can stand in the pipes for a while even better.
we had a nasty smell coming from the shower tray - I flushed it with zoflora and nearly boiling water - seems to have solved it but I do keep the plug in now when in storage
I put a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in the plughole, then wash it down with white vinegar - it fizzes all the muck away and comes up smelling fresh every time!
Putting house hold bleach down the sink or any plug hole in your van will make the pipes brittle over time and they will turn to powder if u squeeze them..use the right product for the job.

Hi all
Ive noticed a musty smell coming from our caravan kitchen sink, I keep putting disinfectant down it, but it still smells musty.
Does anyone else have this problem or any suggesstions of getting rid of it
Thanks
Zoe

Keep the plug in. It works for me.
Never thought of that
i always fit plugs x 3 when van is not in use and another reason why you should add bleach or another product to your waste tank when in use as the smell is awful from the plug hole if you do not.plus it keeps your waste tank spotless inside.
