This a very ageist comment . My father drove untill well in his seventies I know a lot of people in their 80 s who drive very well. They may be a little slow , I think this is annoying to the impatient but it is better than driving too fast being cut off and being made to brake due to Younger impatient drivers. I had 3 incidents while we were towing last time . Some people may have thought it was us because when you are behind a caravan you can't always see the vehicle that is in front.

A lot of old people don't go far and rely on their car to be mobile. I don't think that are any more unsafe or dangerous than some of the young er drivers who drive much too fast.

My father is 85 and still driving and I don't think anything here is ageist, and if he drove the wrong way down a motorway I'd take his licence away

I see in the news report that he HAS had his licence taken away and so he should, at least some common sense being used there at least.
