I have today picked up my new Barcelona, I am thinking about using a protector on the front of the van for when towing, has anyone any experience of the ones that come with the suction pads, I have an awning rail on both sides but cannot find a cover that does not use the suction pads unless it is taylored
We also have the Barcelona but with the awning rail on only the one side....we also purchased the front towing cover which I believe was worth it but we have had one or two problems with it.
First was tighten then strapping up for the fabric to tear, protec covers have replaced it this with no problem but just come back from recent trip and noticed one of the chrome buttons has come away and is now in the suction cup waiting to be removed.....
What I am interested in is why the barcelona's now come with an awning rail both sides.....?
I have a tailored Protec front cover and it's excellent, keeps the front clean and eliminates stone chipping to the lower quarters, takes 5 minutes to fit, using the awning rails on both sides, and doesn't move during travel, as I remember it wasn't that different in price to other types

Sorry I cannot answer that questio, but the series 2 Unicorn will have the rail on both sides, mine is a 2012 model but did not come off the production line till July so I assume that the new sides were already being used on the later 2012 models.
