Hi I have a fulll awning for my freedom made by Harrison and its brilliant however for short breaks it isnt worth the effort so Im looking for a drive away awning as well. Freedoms are abut 5 - 6 " higher than most other vans so awnings made for them dont fully reach the ground leaving the mudwall exposed. A driveaway however has an adjustable tunnel that can fit vans of varying heights and locates in the awning gulley. Im looking on ebay but so far there hasnt been anyhting suitable within easy travelling distance; when you find one let me know, if I do I will tell you its name so you can look for one.
Have you thought about a big pop up tent, like the quechua base seconds, we use one for our motorhome, takes 2 minutes to put up including pegging and has quite a bit of room, you can also get the optimal inner tent for random guests,
I know it doesn't attach to the caravan but we have gone from caravan with awnings to the motorhome and can't quite realise why we never tried the big pop up with the caravan
Just an idea
