well we have lost our deposit we paid on the 6 berth.today was the deadline we had to complete the purchase of the abbey cardinal we really liked.
i stupidly thought i would sell our fleetwood within the timescale given and even lowered the price significantly to try and ensure this.
but alas no,everyone wanted it for nothing or picked faults with things like "the curtains are faded"-ITS A CARAVAN FOR GOODNESS SAKE.(I actually offered more money off to pay for new curtains but "its too much hassle")
anyway rant almost over, im £100 down and the fleetwood, fast becoming the bain of my life remains.
ill advertise it again in the spring
rant over

Oh I'm sorry Fife, you must be really peed off, You don't half get some people don't you when selling a van, I'm sure it'll sell come spring. X

The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
just dont know what it is about it murano before we bought it,it had been on the market close on 3 months before we got it for a knockdown price whic i thought was a bargain.
now i cant get rid of it.is it the make, the layout, the interior, cant be the price other similar vans are going for the same or more.i just wish i knew exactly where i was going wrong with the adverts

Sometimes there's no reason, the previous swift we had was like that too, we got it for a good price, when we came to sell it we couldn't! And as you know we chopped it in, and it's still sitting at the dealers unsold, when they've had similar layouts price ect come in after that one and sold them, weird!
Is it still advertised anywhere?

ebay ad has expired ad trader ad due to expire next week wasters on gumtree and no interest on here or caravan finder, preloved or scotads.
maybe im appearing to desperate lol

No your not desperate lol, you just want a change,,thing is when you've made up your mind it has to go, then you want it gone, it's frustrating to the point off being cross lol.
Worth keeping it on the free ones. After all only takes one person to buy it.

Is it paid for?, would the new van require finance?
If the answers are, 'yes' and 'yes', then stick with your Fleetwood - seriously.
If you think that times are hard at the moment, be prepared for some *serious* economic upheavals in the next year or so.
This is most definitely a time for reducing personal indebtedness, not increasing it.
I know how easy it is to be seduced by newer and better vans! - I found myself (in spite of myself!) looking at new M/H's. So easy to buy! - just a signature required, and off we go to happiness....
Honestly, I almost had to slap myself to bring me to my senses!. If you have surplus cash, pay down your mortgage (or, at least, save it (not necessarily in the bank, because they're headed for failure) but *keep* it!
There is an entire industry out there, carefully designed to make you unhappy with what you already own - but resist it!
This time next year you might be very glad that you did.
------------- Getting Old, Staying Active (much to Mrs Folder's dismay..)
Got rid of our fleetwood countryside 500/5 last month, had to let it go for peanuts as the floor had delaminated, and we wanted rid of it. Was a bit peeved at the time but seeing as we pick our new van up in the morning this has become a distant memory. I know fleetwood had some probs and advertised as such, so eventually sold to our travelling community. Good luck with your sale will keep everyone posted on the new van.......

no i only paid a deposit.we would have had the balance had we sold the fleetwood and had some savings.
but its irrelevant now the van has already sold to someone else today.our fleetwood is still going as it is way to small for us now.3 kids to one bed is never healthy.
as for mortgage were fixed for another 4 years and i only have a 300 quid credit card for buying concert tickets etc so the banks can do their worst
