check with your insurance ,if they specify wheel clamps winter wheels may invalidate it.

Keep the air pressure in your tyres at the correct level and every now and again jack up the van just enough to turn the whees so that one part of the wheel is not taking all the weight of the van during the year. That should keep the tyres fine.  Oh and remember to check the walls of the tyres every so often. Just a bit of TLC really. Winter wheels are really for those times when the van is off road for a few months during the cold winter. At that time the van will be empty so that the winter wheels take the strain of the MIRO rather than the extra MTPLM you would have on the seasonal site.

Then, if there is a problem, like sudden flooding of a site, you need to be able to tow off quickly.

You have to wonder about your modern villain. Why not take the van that has wheels on it already rather than faff about taking winter wheels off (especially if they have the security cover over the nuts) and then putting proper wheels on? Wonder if they bought the wheels or took them off some other caravan? Must have been kids with that sort of mentality!!!
