Im sure you have had this one before.
We have a magnetic strip on our shower door - Swift Charisma 2009 and for the past 18 months it just wont stay put. The local dealer fixes it back into place each year when we have it serviced but on the next trip out its off again. We have bought a new strip, same happens. the door is cleaned of the old adhesive first but no joy, has anyone a solution?
Cheers J xx

Hi J,
we have a sterling Eccles 90 Ruby, we are on our 4th magnetic strip in 2 years, and we are waiting for the dealer to tell us when we can get the 5th one fitted.
I think its a design fault

You need a permanent professional bonding agent to do this job and I bet the adhesive that has been applied previously is not waterproof and that's the reason why there's no permanent bonding. Jeff suggested Araldite which is a twin pack professional adhesive but there are various adhesives for different applications. I have looked at the various adhesives in their range and this one appears to be the best waterproof adhesive for this particular application.

It appears that the link is not working but if you do a search the product is called:
Araldite Instant Clear Adhesive
STRONG EPOXY ADHESIVE THAT DRIES CLEAR

Thanks for those replies, we have used the Araldite as suggested.
Next trip out in 3 weeks time, will keep you posted as to its success.

Update -- just been out for 8 nights following fixing our magnetic strip as advised above. Just wanted to say thankyou, its still stuck fast and shows no sign of budging any time soon. J x

I have a 2010 challenger 620 and have never had any problems with the stick on magnetic strip, guess I must be lucky.------------- Mark
