Hi
It depends what you are expecting. I "upgraded" from a 1984 ABI to a 1992 Elddis Shamal XL, so for us it is "sophistication" to the extreme.

No doubt everyone will say check for damp, and make sure that if it is from a dealer, you get a service thrown in to ensure gas and electrics and towing gear are all safe and working correctly.

We can't complain about ours. Lots of storage room, comfy cushions and everything works but we do have a random electrical fault we can't get to the bottom of that effects the awning light.
We use it about 5 times a year and for the summer holiday, and let our daughter and her family use it for theirs, so we are more than happy with it.

There seem to be a lot of old Elddis vans around so they can't be that bad.

Took a break like everyone over covid, flogged the caravan and got a campervan!
