there are so many offers of free pitch or very little pay for working on sites during peak times
have any of you done it? some of the advetizers expect so much in return for a "free pitch" i saw one that had a long list inc night security --i added the hours up & at basic rate you were "paying " 3 times more than they charge for the "free pitch" i thought it might be a way of having a long stay for "free" & i expected to be flexable but many wanted arround 3-4hrs per day ie 6-8 hrs between 2 of you 6/7 days a week what do you think--
This is popular in France, certainly on Dutch owned sites & it is a way of getting a free pitch for a couple of months. You need to get duties agreed absolutely, its usually cleaning bogs twice a day & perhaps cleaning pool early mornings. For it to work it needs to benefit both camper & site owner equally. If it don't work you can always hitch up & go.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
