Having seen a couple of these I reckon they are probably the worst designed vans on the market for the money. They are a very flimsy replacement for the Unicorn 1.
The pull out table is not worth having. Too small and too flimsy. The silly window at the front will make the van very hot when the blind is not pulled down. Some Swift owners have their blinds permanenty down. The loss of the two large front lockers is a real backward step just to accomodate the silly window.
The shower is smaller and has no lining so uses the caravan walls which I am sure will get dirty.
The kitchen layout is very cramped.
Only real advantages are the gas bottles being stowed over the axle and the spare wheel wind down action.
The front of the van really looks very comical and wouldn't be out of place on the bumper cars at the fair.
Sorry Bailey but this is not one of your best considering it is your top van. Certainly wouldn't swap our Pegasus for one!
and some swift owners have 90% damp in the front where the panoramic window has leaked ( according to somebody ive spoke to in the trade )
quite like the unicorn internally but the outside looks awful.
Well we set off to our local dealership with the full intention of trading in our much loved 2008 Senator but what a huge disappointment we had at first sight of this new model. We feel Bailey have taken a massive step back with this production. It looks and feels so cheap. All that bulky, unsightly, dirt collecting moulding. The gaudy decals, I agree it looks as if it belongs to a circus.
Inside was even more of a let down. What about the silly sink arrangement, that draining board doesn't even slot anywhere positive out of the way and will be useless for purpose. Does anybody use cocktail cabinets - waste of space. Why has the space between the sofas been narrowed by 12 inches. the 'occasional' table is pretty useless, does'nt come out far enough and as for the choice of fabrics- oh dear! Sorry Bailey, you have'nt got this one right, NOWHERE NEAR !!!

Touchy. Not at all.
Your the one that bought the bailey. 😂
The bottom line is regardless of manufacture they all seem to have faults and some worse than others. What I will say though is that Swifttalk is excellent as is there customer service. I had a faulty window replaced on site on a bank Holliday weekend. This was organised by swift and not my dealer. Would bailey of done that. ( somehow I doubt it)
It has to be one of the ugliest vans on the market, on the one we saw they had mucky green decals inside the small front mouldings too, they have certainly taken a big step backwards on the exterior, if I ever bought one the first thing I'd do is peel off all front decals except for the Unicorn name.
Having said that once inside the new central window is great, it lets in so much light and gives fantastic views, I bet Swift cursed when they saw one after they 'improved' their front by making their front windows smaller just so they could add an extra panoramic window which meant putting a huge plastic moulding straight across your eyeline so now you have to crouch to see out, or lean forwards to look out of the tiny front/side windows and the vans are dark inside.
One thing that potential Unicorn owners need to check though is the warranty, we have been told by a dealer that the manufacturer of the new large window isn't confident enough to offer warranty on it, not sure if that's true or a rumour.

would swift have brought a vehicle to your home address to take caravan to factory for warranty work and upgraded items to the new model spec while it was there, for free ?
doubt it
