Hello, we are  thinking of getting a tourer.

Would anyone be interested in a swap for our static  caravn. It is a 4 year old Atlas Lakeland Super 28 by 12 . Please don't be put of by the length, its very roomy with a large panoramic window.

Has just this season had £800 worth of wooden blinds

Sited at Skegness.

Full length balcony.

Happy to supply any further info if you contact me.

Would consider any tourer  or cash part exchange etc etc  Our only requirement is that we need a fixed bed The caravan is valued at aprox £12,000

THANK YOU

 I guess not LOL

I have paid a deposit for our plot for next year, so no rush,  but would still consider anytime up to March 2013

Great site though and thanks for letting me post a thread

Have you checked that you are allowed to sell/swap it? Lots of sites will only let you sell it to them, at a ridiculously low price

yes ,we did check. If the van was over 10 years old,we would have to sell it back.

However there will be a changeover fee to pay

How much is the ground rent each year?
How long is remaining on the lease?
At the end of the lease how much will the site charge you (or the new owner) to dispose of or replace the static?

Cheers Ratty

I think this is the perfect place to ask about swapping a static for a tourer. No point in posting it in the static section. By the very fact that Ratty has posted some questions that people might like to know I would say admin are fine with it too.

Can't help with the swap but good luck and I hope you find something.

Hello Ratty,  Hubby will be in from work later who will know exactly but I did not want to ignore your post.

The ground rent is just over £2,000 ( £2,030 I think but will confirm later)

There is no age limit on the site as long as the caravan is clean, in good order and well maintained, there are caravans on well over 30 years old.

If you require any further info please let me know, we are going tonight for the weekend and plan to take some photographs.

Thanks you for your question

Shirley

i would not mind a swop section on this site.it could be the answer to many giving up caravanning and wanting a static (it has crossed our minds) or changing from trailer tents to caravans.or any other item not required.

Would of loved to of swapped our TT for a caravan on this site, would of saved all the Ebay selling flaffle and buying a caravan from someone on here would certainly go a long way in trust/honesty stakes.

Hello Ratty, just as my other half said, rates are £2030,including water.

There is no age limit,as long as vans looked after. Took some photos

but I forgot the cable to put them on the computer, so can do on Sunday evening if needed.

Thanks everyone. Just a quck update, sold the static back to the site owner at a fair price.

Fingers crossed, putting a deposit on a Bailey this weekend ( private sale ) to pay and take next weekend.

Booked a seasonal pitch for next year at Southview ( Park Resort ) Skegness

Soooo looking forward to getting back to caravaning.

BTW - they had a 20% off a seasonal pitch if booked before the 31st of October and only had to leave a deposit of £25
