Some of you may have read my post a couple of weeks ago about the lack of vans with service history.

Our search for a new van goes on and tbh its such hard work. Sellers dont seem to know or care about what they are selling. We ask basic questions and get "dont know, its in storage" etc when we ask about the laden weight. We travelled 2.5 hrs each way yesterday to see a van described online and over the phone as in mint condition used only for four weekends to be confronted with a shed of a van. Worn carpets, bodywork a mess etc etc.

Is it just too much to expect to find a van with sellers who can answer our questions and tell the truth about what they've got and if they dont know find out???

Feel like giving up.

Go to a local dealer. It will pay in the end and save a lot heartache and hassle.

beginning to think that John.

Can I ask you what you think of your Rimini, we would love one. At this rate we'll end up buying one at the NEC.

We are very pleased with it. Had some trouble with water getting in through the front locker and causing damp but I have now resolved that. The new ones have been sealed properly. The beds are slightly narrow compared with say the Swifts but not a real problem if you aren't too big. The main advantage is the fact that the wardrobe is in the bathroom so freeing up space in the front of the van. You can shut the blind across the bedroom area and you have loads of room to dress etc.

We ordered the chest of drawers as an extra which gives you the pull out table. Tows extremely well behind our VW. I don't think it is really a family van.

You might be able to find a 2011 model but I think they are a bit like gold dust.

Good Luck if you decide to go for one.
