I spoke to the TomTom people at the NEC show.
They told me that the Android app is a car version.
TomTom are considering whether to put out a Truck/Caravan app.
I really wouldn't worry about those so-called 'truck' versions - all they do is warn you of low bridges and those fixed width restrictors - how often do you come across those? And have you ever seen a bridge too low for a caravan? I haven't...

A truck version is a bit overkill for a caravan, as you say, it will divert around low bridges and weight restrictions. However, there isn't a realistic option in between as yet. The options are overkill with a truck option, use a standard car navigation and risk being sent down a single track road or use a combination of maps, sat navs and common sense.
Unfortunately there seem to be a few that allow the voice of the sat nav to override what they can see in front of them. I wonder if the sort of person who would tow a caravan down a dirt track because the sat nav said to ever looks out of the windscreen or relies on the LCD display to steer.
